Website Design and Development - Bam Creative

as individual as you are.

Computers and technology are nice, but they don't nurture your project, encourage you to follow your instincts or make the coffee.

So as well as bringing years of experience in a wide range of creative and technical fields, The team at Bam Creative are friendly and attentive, and we think that's more important than being clever with computers. When it's time for a knowledge of our programming and creative crafts, we can impress with hip terminology with the best of them, but we know you only want to talk about one thing; helping you speak to your market. That's our language too.

We frequently draw on a dedicated pool of contractors with specialist skills, but the following people comprise the core team.

Miles Burke, Director

Miles has been involved in the design and development of websites since 1994. He has a graphic design degree from way back in the 80's before the internet arrived in Australia.

He has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers and has also addressed audiences about the web industry. He's the founder and chairperson of the Australian Web Industry Association, Port-80, and has served on a number of boards, including Australia's largest state internet industry association, the Western Australian Internet Association, from 1999-2004.

Miles drinks Long Black coffees with one sugar, or Green Tea.

Joshua Lovell, Account Executive

Joshua graduated from the Curtin Business School with a double degree in Marketing & Public Relations and then completed an Advanced Diploma in Business Systems at Computer Power Training & Support majoring in Java programming.

He worked in the Advertising Sales Team for a WA publishing company before heading overseas, returning recently after a two year expedition exploring the world, during which he worked for a boutique chocolate company in Vancouver, Canada.

Joshua enjoys soccer, snowboarding and golf. He likes his coffee strong with lots of milk, cream and sugar.

Patima Tantiprasut, Project Manager

After graduating from ECU where she studied multimedia and graphic design, the School of Communications and Multimedia liked her so much they promptly employed her for two years as a member of the technical support team. Patima brings unparalleled skills and experience from hardcore coding geekery to a freewheeling design spirit to Bam Creative and she’s a perfect fit in our culture.

She’s also a rampant music fan and a muso herself for a groovy local band called Jonas. She’s the resident socialite and party animal and disturbingly happy first thing in the morning.

Patima adds coffee and milk to her sugar.

Jay Hollywood, Web Designer

Jay graduated from Curtin University in 2004 with a degree in Multimedia Design and Design(Honors). Since that time he traveled the world including parts of North America and Europe and settled in London for the best part of a year, working as a designer and drinking ales.

Once discovering the lack of sun in Britain, Jay decided to return to Perth and continue his design career here, where he also enjoys fishing, soccer, and watching cartoons.

Jay likes his coffee iced.

Shane Sin Fat, Development Team Leader

Shane also graduated from ECU, where he studied Multimedia and Computer Science. Originally joining Bam Creative as a developer in 2005, he comes back to us after spending a year scratching an open source itch as a core developer in the Moodle project. Shane specialises in solutions based on the LAMP stack.

Shane likes his coffee white with one.

Dean Robbins, Designer

Another product of the venerated ECU, and graduating with qualifications in multimedia and graphic design, Dean gained experience and employment with a small design firm. Soon after he was welcomed with loving arms into the Bam Creative fold where he combines his knowledge of print and web design to be our most versatile all-rounder.

With interests in basketball and electronic gadgets, Dean also hopes defend our shores one day, trying his hand at being an army reservist.

He believes coffee should be drunk as white with one sugar.

Daniel Bett, Senior Developer

Previously a director of Cube7, Daniel is a developer/programmer who specialises in Microsoft solutions. Dan joins the Bam Creative team as a Senior Developer.

Dan is a white coffee kind of guy.

Graeme Haynes, Web Designer

Graeme has been designing and building websites now for four years since he graduated from Goldsmiths College in London with a degree in Design (Honors). He picked up his experience in Scotland where he learnt CSS, XHTML and all things web. After four years of rain he decided that it must be about time for a little sunshine.

He has a passion for photography, and most things apple, gadgets, music, and playing games on the xbox.

Graeme likes his coffee strong with milk and no sugar or Tea, Earl Gray with a dash of milk.

Adam Braimbridge, Senior Developer

After setting a very high standard at Bam Creative in both web development and endlessly quoting Monty Python skits, Adam left our shores to spend a year travelling in Canada.

Following his travels, Adam returned to us and we accepted him with open arms back to the development department where he builds on the knowledge and experience he's honed from his professional and now eventful personal life.

Adam prefers his coffee with a stack of milk and two sugars.

Daniel Brouse, Designer/Developer

Daniel is from the UK, and moved to Perth in early 2002. Currently in his final year of a double degree in Multimedia and Aviation at ECU, Daniel also has his pilot's license, and tends to go flying on the weekends when not too busy. We're thinking a Bam Creative flight may be on the cards.

Outside of design, PHP, XHTML, CSS, MYSQL and aviation, Daniel also has passion for photography, and frequently carries a camera around.

Daniel loves his Mochas and believes coffee is boring without a hint of chocolate.

Ben Thomson, Web Developer

Ben graduated from eCentral TAFE recently, with a Diploma in Website Development, backing up his previous Certificate 4 in Website Development. During the last few years he has been working as a freelance web developer, as well as managing his own online web properties.

On weekends, you'll find Ben playing and watching cricket and footy, managing his own website as well as juggling his busy social schedule.

Ben doesn't understand the lure of Coffee, and prefers Tea.

Renee Levesque, User Interface Developer

Renee joins the team fresh out of ECU, where she studied multimedia and film & video as part of her bachelor of communications. Renee recently having nearly finished her degree, woke up to find herself in a job interview. Soon after she found herself part of the Bam Creative development team.

Renee's interests include film making, photography and dancing of various kinds.

She likes her coffee strong and white.

Chris Botman, Web Developer

Chris hails from Christchurch, New Zealand, where he has been working the last few years as a programmer on financial and governance software for American clients. Chris previously studied Computer Science and Electronic Multimedia.

Chris joins the Bam Creative team with a wealth of knowledge in both development and design. He spends his spare time exploring WA, seeing the sights.

Chris enjoys water, or tea with no sugar if there's a biscuit handy.

Kristie Bradfield, Copywriter

Kristie is a former member of the Cube7 team. She stumbled upon the Internet in 1995 and has worked in the field ever since, including a two year stint in Vancouver, Canada. While she's been everything from designer, developer, accounts person, receptionist and project manager (usually all at the same time), her expertise lies in copywriting for the web. She prides herself on her organisational skills and the number of figurines she can blu-tac to
her monitor.

Kristie is almost finished her double degree in Print Journalism & Criminology having previously completed a B.A. in English & Comparative Literature.

She rarely drinks coffee but when she does she enjoys a vanilla latte.

Justin Twiss, Hosting Engineer

Justin has been involved with the internet in one way or another since modems ran at 300bps and internet access was charged at 1c per minute - well before the popular web was born.

Justin has previously lived the role as Chief Technical Officer for Adultshop.com and from this, he brings a wealth of development and Linux/Windows hosting knowledge to the team.

Justin inhales his coffee, and it needs to be short, black, and strong enough to dissolve the spoon.

Theo Bekkers, Accounts

Theo Bekkers installed his first computer in 1968 when there were four computers in Perth. After working as a tech on mainframes for many years, he went into administration and has been looking after Bam Creative's accounts since our inception, where he continues in his mostly fruitless efforts to get Miles to do his paperwork.

In his spare time Theo likes to ride his motorcycle. He also is a lieutenant and president of the Lower Chittering Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, a pursuit that allows him to go 4WDing in a 12 tonne vehicle in the dark with the blue and red flashing lights on.

Theo likes coffee, no matter how it is served.

Jessica Auditore, Accounts

Jessica is a qualified Bookkeeper with an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services. Jessica has a vision is to complete a Double Major in Accounting (General/Financial Advising) over the next four years (part-time), whilst keeping control of our accounts here at Bam Creative.

In her available spare time, Jessica spends her time working on all of the jobs that can't say "No!" to.

Jessica likes her coffee in a cup with milk and one sugar.

Aislinn Lorkiewicz, Reception

Aislinn previously worked as a Swimming Teacher, so we're all confident of our safety if we have staff parties near the pool. Previously Aislinn also worked in administration and membership services roles.

Aislinn is a country girl, so when not in the city, she is out spending her time walking, driving or endurance bike riding through vast amounts of bush land, down south.

Aislinn is not much of a coffee drinker but likes a good cup of tea.
